About the Role

Are you a creative professional or educator looking for high-impact work with a flexible schedule? Paint Hive Studio Afterschool Art Program is seeking energetic individuals to join our Emergency & Guest Instructor Pool.

This is not a traditional 9-to-5. Our "Pool Instructors" are our go-to team for covering shifts, assisting with special STEAM projects, or filling in when a regular rotation teacher is out. Because we value your flexibility and your ability to jump in on short notice, this role offers a premium hourly rate.

How the "Pool" Works:

  • As-Needed: There is no guaranteed weekly schedule initially. We call you when a shift opens up!
  • Premium Pay: You earn a higher hourly "Premium Rate" ($40/hr) for these assignments.
  • Path to Permanent: Pool members are the first individuals considered for regular, permanent rotations as new school sites or afternoon slots become available.

What Youll Do:

  • Deliver pre-planned, STEAM-based art curriculum to elementary students (TK2nd Grade).
  • Manage a classroom environment with positivity and creative "spark."
  • Coordinating with the school site leads to ensure a seamless experience for the kids.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (TK-2 preferred).
  • Reliable transportation to various school sites.
  • Ability to pass a background check/LiveScan for school site safety.
