Job description

Aria Restaurant | Atlanta, Georgia

Aria is seeking an experienced fine dining server with a genuine passion for wine to join our team in a role that combines exceptional service with the opportunity to deepen your wine knowledge while working alongside our Senior Sommelier. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys sharing wine with guests, takes pride in polished, thoughtful hospitality, and is excited to continue growing within one of the Southeast’s most respected wine programs.

For more than twenty-five years, Aria has been one of Atlanta’s most celebrated restaurants. Led by Executive Chef Austin Goetzman and Owner & Sommelier Andrés Loaiza, our team is committed to exceptional cuisine, gracious hospitality, and one of the country’s premier wine programs.

Our cellar features more than 500 selections and has earned Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence for nearly two decades. In both 2025 and 2026, Aria was recognized as a James Beard Award finalist for Outstanding Hospitality. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced hospitality professionals while continuing to develop your wine knowledge and service skills at one of Atlanta’s premier dining destinations.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver warm, polished, attentive service from greeting through farewell.
  • Guide guests through both food and wine selections with confidence.
  • Recommend wines by the glass and from our cellar based on guests’ preferences.
  • Assist our Senior Sommelier with nightly wine service.
  • Present, open, decant, and serve wine using proper fine dining techniques.
  • Help receive, organize, stock, and maintain Aria’s wine cellar and wine stations.
  • Assist with inventory, restocking, and ensuring the wine program is impeccably maintained each day.
  • Participate in ongoing wine education, tastings, and staff training.
  • Work closely with our culinary and management teams to create memorable dining experiences.
  • Uphold Aria’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys taking care of people. You are naturally warm and gracious, pay attention to the smallest details, and believe great hospitality comes from anticipation rather than reaction. You’re curious about food and wine, eager to continue learning, and take pride in being part of a team that pursues excellence every day.

You should also have:

  • Previous fine dining serving experience.
  • Strong foundational wine knowledge.
  • The ability to comfortably discuss grape varieties, wine regions, producers, styles, and food pairings with guests.
  • A genuine desire to continue expanding your knowledge of wine.
  • Exceptional hospitality and communication skills.
  • Grace under pressure and the ability to thrive during busy dinner service.
  • A team-first mentality and willingness to support every aspect of the guest experience.
  • Professional appearance and polished service standards.

Preferred, but not required:

  • WSET Level 1 or 2.
  • Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory Sommelier Course.
  • Experience working with an extensive wine list.

Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.
  • Rotating schedule based on the needs of the restaurant.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage plus tips.
  • Health, dental, and life insurance eligibility after one year of employment.
  • Paid vacation eligibility after one year.
  • Employee dining discounts.
  • Ongoing wine education and tasting opportunities.
  • The opportunity to work with one of Atlanta’s most respected hospitality teams.

Why Aria?

At Aria, we believe hospitality is a craft. It requires curiosity, humility, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to care for others. We believe the best hospitality professionals are never finished learning, and we strive to create an environment where growth, mentorship, and the pursuit of excellence are part of everyday life.

We look for professionals who support one another, take pride in their work, and find satisfaction in creating memorable experiences for every guest.

If you’re passionate about hospitality, committed to continuous learning, and looking to build a long-term career with one of Atlanta’s most respected restaurants, we’d love to meet you.
