Job description

Job Title: Converting Operator- Tier Four

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining machinery in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring product adheres to our quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set up and operate machinery according to production specifications and safety standards
  • Perform machine startup, shut down and basic troubleshooting.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of machines.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize performance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Operating electric pallet jack, roll lifts and hoists.
  • Document production output, machine settings, and any issues encountered.
  • Performs quality checks per Pregis Quality Management System.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and safety protocols.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality and safety.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing work experience.
