The Job

Our department provides our guests the safest, most efficient, and enjoyable ride up the mountain possible from Thanksgiving Day to early April. We all get to capitalize on a great team dynamic and a beautiful outdoors work environment while creating a fun guest experience one lift ride at a time. Currently seeking full time/part time and holiday help.

The Mission

· Attentively load every guest and employee in a helpful and friendly manner.

· Perform daily operations in a way that supports a safe and healthy work environment

· Ensure on time mountain access every day of the winter.

· Contribute to a hardworking, and fun filled team.

· Have fun and ski. I can't say this enough….have fun and ski!

The Qualifications

· We love outgoing personalities with a passion for the outdoors and a desire to share it!

· People who are excited to work outside in all types of weather conditions.

· A safety mentality, for our guests and for our team.

· Ability to ski or snowboard, or a desire to learn!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist in assuring the operation of the lifts in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board (CPTSB), United States Forest Service, American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), TSG Ski & Golf "Telski" Liability Insurance policy and Telski's company policies and procedures.

· Perform daily pre-operational checks, inspections, and opening/closing procedures to ensure safety of passengers, proper working condition of lift, and required signage is in place.

· Operate lift in accordance with CPTSB regulations. Properly fill out all lift log and lift incident reports.

· Observe, assist, and instruct guests during both the load and unload process, in order to minimize lift incidents

· Respond to emergencies or accidents following the proper procedures and communication channels.

· Provide proper communication with both lift operations and ski patrol dispatch.

· Coordinate with lift maintenance daily.

· Perform all necessary snow removal and snow maintenance work at both load and unload areas.

· Provide a high level of guest service and guest interaction.

· Adhere to all TSG policies and procedures listed in the employee handbook.

· Understand and apply the Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively interact in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Able to communicate by radio.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions from written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to ask questions on tasks to ensure complete understanding.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to read and interpret simple screen displays

Other Qualifications:

· Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

· Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher.

· Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.

· Ski or snowboard at a beginner level preferred, but could be an opportunity to learn!

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The pay rate for this position is $20/hr.
