Job description

Overview

The Area Operations Manager provides guidance to support, coach, and assist the operational management team with daily management tasks and client reporting. The role contributes to achieving operational goals and helps develop site‑level policies and procedures. It ensures compliance with required accreditation standards such as ACA, NCCHC, AAAHC, and applicable state requirements. The position also supports nursing and operational processes across assigned sites. The Area Operations Manager may serve in facility leadership roles for extended periods when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and process guidance to coach others in operations procurement, flow, and distribution activities.
  • Coaches others in financial processes, including staffing, planning, administration, and execution.
  • Offers leadership and direction to ensure adherence to state, federal, and local ethics compliance guidelines and policies.
  • Guides others in proper incident tracking, review, resolution, prevention, and reporting procedures.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse license in state of employment preferred.

Experience

  • NCCHC and/or ACA knowledge and experience preferred
  • At least five years’ experience in healthcare leadership position preferred.
  • Previous employment as an HSA/DON preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • CPR certification.
