Job description

As a member of a dynamic sales team, the sales professional is responsible for developing new business while maintaining and strengthening existing customer relationships with small and medium-sized customers in rural markets. Provides face-to-face customer contact in an assigned market-based geographic territory to achieve personal and company sales goals.

Essential Functions

  • Develops new business and grows revenue by identifying potential new customers, conducting background research on potential customers, discussing the customer's supply chain with decision makers and other appropriate customer representatives, analyzing customer needs, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Maintains existing business by developing an understanding of the customer's business and supply chain through research and customer interaction, analyzing customer needs and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with internal teams, such as sales counterparts and operations as well as other internal partners to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience.
  • Regularly engages face-to-face with top 20-30 revenue customers in territory to ensure customer understanding of service offerings and to maximize customer utilization of products and services.
  • Takes initiative to lead internal teams and demonstrates organization, discipline, and adaptability to retain the highest revenue customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Domicile/Location:

  • This position will be hybrid inEvansville, IN, Owensboro, KY or Bowling Green, KY and candidates must live within a 50 mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent (Equivalency reflected under minimum experience)

Minimum Experience (in lieu of bachelor's degree)

Four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience or two (2) years of the Company's business-to-business sales experience required.
