About the Opportunity

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a confidential opportunity with a precast concrete manufacturer in Northeast Iowa. This is an entry-level project coordination role ideal for someone looking to grow into construction project management within a production-driven environment.

The Assistant Project Manager will support project execution from design through production by assisting with CAD work, documentation, scheduling, and communication between engineering and manufacturing teams. This role is highly detail-oriented and provides strong exposure to both office-based coordination and hands-on production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare CAD drawings and foam layouts for production use
  • Assist with basic takeoffs and quantity calculations
  • Enter panel data and project information into Orca system
  • Review drawings for accuracy under supervision
  • Support Project Manager in coordinating schedules, materials, and production flow
  • Assist in communicating project requirements between engineering and production teams
  • Help maintain schedules, change orders, and project records
  • Print pour packets and prepare production documentation
  • Crate and count Foundation and Erection Bills of Material (BOMs)
  • Support additional project-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic CAD knowledge and ability to create simple technical drawings
  • Ability to read and follow drawings, specifications, and instructions
  • Associate degree or coursework in construction, engineering, CAD, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software (preferred)
