Job description

We are seeking an experienced Program/Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of specialty finance funds and external investment platforms focused on asset-backed securities, credit facilities, whole-loan platforms, and equipment leasing. This role is directly accountable for delivering successful fund and investment platform launches, owning end-to-end execution across internal workstreams and external service providers from structuring and formation through operational readiness and go-live, with full responsibility for timelines, scope, and execution quality.
The role requires deep specialty finance expertise and the ability to drive timely decisions and execution in a fast-paced environment. The Program/Project Manager partners with Product Development and Alternatives investment teams in a strategic planning capacity to shape and align the strategic plan, desired outcomes, and target timelines. The role also operates in partnership with senior leaders across the firm to drive day-to-day execution, managing delivery across multiple concurrent priorities and time-sensitive deliverables while communicating progress, risks, and key decision points in executive forums.
Responsibilities
  • Build and own the integrated project plan (scope, milestones, owners, dependencies) for fund launches and investment platforms across all workstreams
  • Lead cross-workstream risk and issue resolution, proactively unblocking critical-path decisions through ownership and escalation
  • Provide transparent, executive-ready reporting to stakeholders, synthesizing progress, risks, and required decisions
  • Leverage industry knowledge to guide fund and deal structuring ensuring that the optimal support model is designed and that legal/financing/servicing arrangements are executable
  • Drive sequencing and execution of legal entity setup, account opening, and downstream operational dependencies to ensure an on-time go-live for fund and deal closing
  • Ensure financing and hedging arrangements are operationally aligned with fund and deal structures, timelines, and go-live requirements
  • Coordinate and manage deliverables and service expectations across external providers (outside counsel, fund administrators, custodians, loan platforms, data/technology vendors)
  • Serve as the day-to-day operational contact for key providers during launch and post-launch stabilization
  • Design operating models to support new specialty finance products and platform capabilities
  • Develop repeatable playbooks, templates and checklists that enable consistent execution as the platform grows
  • Partner cross functionally to improve system integrations, data flows, and support processes that reduce manual effort and risk

Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12-18+ years of experience in financial services, including 7-10+ years in specialty finance/asset-backed finance, structured credit, or credit-focused alternatives
  • In depth understanding of specialty finance/asset-backed finance lifecycles from origination through execution and ongoing management; examples include whole loan platforms, forward flow agreements, equipment leasing programs, cryptocurrency, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of how fund structures, deal economics, hedging, and financing translate into operations, legal, and finance requirements
  • Demonstrated success leading end to end fund launches and onboarding of forward flow platforms involving complex structures and multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Monday.com)

Preferred
  • MBA, JD, or equivalent advanced degree
  • Experience with Visio, Miro, Appian, Aladdin and Arcesium

Location: New York City; hybrid with a minimum of three days per week in office.
