Job description

As a Retail IT Outsourcing Specialist I, you'll play an important role in supporting Maverik's IT operations by ensuring vendor invoices are processed accurately and on time. Working at the intersection of technology, finance, and vendor management, you'll collaborate with internal teams, maintain accurate records, and help keep critical IT services running smoothly. This role is an important part of keeping Maverik’s IT operations running smoothly by ensuring vendors are paid accurately and processes stay organized. The Specialist will have the opportunity to make a visible impact by supporting technology investments, improving processes, and gaining hands-on experience with IT systems, vendor management, and financial operations.

Location/Schedule 

This role is based at our Des Moines, Iowa Regional Office and follows a hybrid schedule with four days in-office and one remote day each week.

What You’ll do in this Role 

    • Accurately input vendor invoices into the company's accounting system. 
    • Review and approve invoices meeting established guidelines.
    • Utilize Laserfiche software to manage and monitor invoice approvals.
    • Validate invoices against purchase orders using ServiceNow.
    • Administrative help with Vendor Scorecards and Purchase Orders as needed.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice-related discrepancies.
    • Actively contributes to process improvement initiatives.

    Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

    You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have: 

    • 1+ year experience in a technical role, vendor management, operations management, strategic sourcing or comparable role.
    • Proficient in typing and data entry.

    Bonus points if you also bring: 

    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Data Science preferred. 
    • Retail experience preferred.
    • Proficient in accounting software (Laserfiche) strong preferred.
    • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency preferred.

    Compensation & Benefits 

    Pay Range:$18.50/hr-$22.00/hr + DOE and Bonus Opportunities 

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
