Technology Training & Adoption Specialist
OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.
Responsibilities and Duties
OCT currently has an opening for a Technology Training & Adoption Specialist to work with our federal client.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Day to day responsibilities include:
  • Ensure user readiness and adoption of new technologies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs.
  • Create user guides and documentation to support knowledge management.
  • Conduct user training sessions.
  • Assist with communication efforts to facilitate smooth business transitions for all
  • deployed solutions.

Requirements
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience or Master's degree (MA/MS), with a minimum of two (2) year of relevant experience.
  • Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience or Master's degree (MA/MS), with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a formal degree. Relevant experience includes developing training materials, conducting user training, and supporting technology adoption. Of the required years of experience, at least one (1) year must be in support of federal government agencies ( such as USCG, DHS, or DoD.)
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) certification
  • Clearance Requirements: Must be able to undergo and successfully complete a Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12 qualifying Tier 2 background investigation for Common Access Card (CAC) issuance.
  • Location/on-site requirements: Primarily on-site in Washington, DC, with off-site remote work authorized on a situational, case-by-case basis.
