Job description

Onsite WMS Superuser Fort Worth, TX (Onsite) • Full-Time • $80,000 to $85,000
About Luminize & Coastal Trading Ventures
Luminize is a full-service Amazon agency headquartered in San Diego, helping global brands grow revenue and profit through advertising, brand management, and supply chain services. We've generated over $2 billion in sales for our partners and have been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing employers in the country.
Coastal Trading Ventures is our Fort Worth-based warehousing and fulfillment operation, and the physical engine behind a significant portion of that growth. We're in the middle of rebuilding the technology that runs it, and we need the right operator on the floor to help lead that transition.
The Role
We're looking for a WMS Superuser to sit at the intersection of our warehouse floor and our software engineering team during one of the most important technology shifts in the company's history.
Today, our warehouse runs on a custom-built WMS powered by AppSheet and Google Sheets. It's nimble, it works, and it got us here. But we're actively transitioning to a live relational database with a custom frontend UI, and we need someone who can keep current operations humming while helping architect, test, train, and deploy the future state.
This is not a "keep the lights on" role. You'll own the Go-Live lifecycle on the floor: translating bottlenecks into development requests, mapping current low-code processes to the new system, and making sure every deployment is trained, documented, and fully adopted. You'll work directly with our Principal Systems Architect, our software engineers, and site leadership.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the operational anchor during our migration from AppSheet/Google Sheets to a live database and custom UI. Own operational mapping, User Acceptance Testing, and zero-downtime cutover planning.
  • Partner with the Principal Systems Architect and engineering team to test, roll out, and optimize features across current and future-state systems.
  • Build and maintain automated reporting dashboards in Looker Studio (plus Power BI and Tableau) to track throughput, inventory accuracy, and system adoption.
  • Manage the day-to-day backend of the current WMS: data syncs, user permissions, and first-line bug triage before escalating structural issues to engineering.
  • Act as the voice of the warehouse associate. Identify pain points on the floor, gather user feedback, and translate it into clear technical requirements.
  • Own the full Go-Live lifecycle: beta testing with power users, SOP creation, hands-on training sessions, and floor-commander duties on deployment days.

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years in a WMS, systems analyst, or technical operations role, ideally inside a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
  • Strong proficiency in AppSheet and advanced Google Sheets (Query, ArrayFormulas, data validation).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Experience transitioning teams from low-code environments to live database/custom UI setups is a big plus.
  • Mastery of Looker Studio and familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience working alongside a formal software development team: submitting tickets, UAT, and Agile/Sprint cycles.
  • The translator ability: you can hear a picker's frustration and turn it into a technical brief, and turn an engineer's release notes into something a floor associate can actually use.
  • Calm under operational pressure, obsessive about detail, and comfortable holding a legacy system together while building its replacement.

Nice to Have
Experience developing or heavily customizing a WMS solution from scratch.
Why This Role Is Unique
You get a central seat during a major technology upgrade, with real ownership over how it lands on the floor. You'll flex technical data chops alongside a serious engineering team, stay connected to the physical realities of logistics, and work directly with senior operations leadership. Very few roles let you touch the database, the dashboard, and the picker all in the same week.
Location: Onsite at our Coastal Trading Ventures warehouse in Fort Worth, TX. Reports to: Julio Munoz, Director of Operations.
