Job description

This position is contingent upon the identification of a candidate whose expertise meets our strategic needs, at which point a dedicated, funded opening will be established. We are proactively seeking a standout professional for whom we will finalize a formal role.
Seeking a Senior Submarine Electronic Warfare Engineering Technician to join our crew in Groton, CT. If you've spent your career in the shack, you already know the gear-now come help us maintain it, test it, and train the next generation of operators without the deployment cycle.
The Mission
  • Installing, monitoring, and servicing equipment and systems at Company and client sites.
  • Performing or coordinating test and evaluation, checkout, and certification AN/BLQ-10 tasks.
  • Performing validations/verifications of BLQ-10 operational electronic systems. Developing technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.
  • Implementing Engineering Change Instructions (ECI).
  • Training others in the operation and performance of the system(s).
  • Interfacing onsite directly with the customer for equipment/system installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications and test procedures.

What You Bring to the Team (Minimum Requirements)
  • Active Secret US Government Clearance: (Note: US Citizenship required to maintain a Secret clearance).
  • High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of practical experience OR degree/formal training and six (6) years' experience. (Degree/Formal Training is defined as: Associate's degree in engineering technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.).
  • Problem Solving: A proven track record of troubleshooting and fixing operational hardware/software under pressure.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel up to 10% to support the mission.

  • VA Class SSN specific experience.
  • Eligibility for a Top-Secret clearance.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
