The Plumbing Field Technical Training Manager is responsible for performing plumbing services while building and leading technical training and skill development for our plumbing technicians — our primary focus for this role — while also driving technician performance and company revenue growth through consistent use of our CUSTOMER sales and communication process. This is a hands-on, field-based role for an experienced plumber who enjoys teaching and developing others as much as turning a wrench.
Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and pipe installations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on plumbing systems.
  • Install fixtures, water heaters, and other plumbing equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and local plumbing codes.
  • Document services performed and maintain accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Coach/mentor/train plumbing apprentices and service professionals.

Requirements:
  • Valid Virginia plumbing license or certification.
  • Minimum of 8 years of residential plumbing experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to quality workmanship.
