Position: Class C Apprentice
Location: Machinery Manufacturing- Hartsville, SC
Pay: $21.68/hr
Shifts available: Part time and temporary work hours

Machinery Manufacturing has an opening for a Class C Apprentice.

As part of our team, you'll work with state-of-the-art technology, tackle complex projects, and collaborate with experienced professionals who are committed to mentorship and continuous improvement.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • Thorough knowledge of machine shop equipment and have at least 5 years' experience working with manual lathes, mills, and grinders.

  • Good working knowledge of all types of CNC equipment

  • prior experience in assembly or fabrication work using a blueprint

  • A technical degree in Machine Shop is preferred or enrolled in schooling.

  • Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Applicants must be willing to work overtime including weekends and holiday when needed.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • Be able to set-up machine and make fixtures for individual parts.

  • Knowledge of G-code or conversational programming.

  • Know speeds and feeds of different types of materials and tooling.

  • Be proficient in reading standard and metric blueprints along with knowing GD&T.

  • Be able to check own parts, using machine shop measuring instruments (OD/ID mic's, calipers, depth mic's, scales, tape measure)

  • Be proficient in basic math and geometry.

  • Experience with programming software (Esprit, or MasterCam etc) preferred.

  • Maintains safe operation by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

  • Maintains continuity with partner on other shift by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

  • Applicant will be required to move from one machine or job assignment to another when the workload shifts.

  • Performs other duties such as cleanup, housekeeping, etc.

  • Must be enrolled in college, full-time
