Job Summary:
SynthBee, Inc. is focused on building Collaborative Intelligence™ to maximize the potential of people and computers working together. As an ML Applied Scientist, you will support tech leadership by designing and deploying machine learning models and systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and enhance products and services.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute as required to the development of SynthBee’s machine learning products.
• Conduct research and experiments to evaluate performance of different machine learning models and techniques to drive SynthBee’s platform strategy, exploring new possibilities and identifying areas of opportunity for impact.
• Work with large, complex datasets, leveraging both structured and unstructured data to drive insights and predictions.
• Generate and evaluate ideas for potential new products and features, using both technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills.
• Assist in the architectural design of systems, working closely with data engineers and software developers to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including data science, engineering, and product, to align research initiatives with business goals.
• Stay current with advancements in computer science, computing intelligence, and AI broadly, sharing insights with the team and contributing to the continuous improvement of SynthBee’s approaches.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of recent ML architectures such as transformers and diffusion models, including training and fine-tuning these models.
• Familiarity with architectural design principles for computing intelligence systems, including experience with model training and fine-tuning, model evaluations, and model deployment with scalability considerations.
• Knowledge of research methodologies and ability to critically evaluate existing research and computing intelligence literature.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, with extensive experience using ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras).
• Skilled in data processing tools (Pandas, Spark) used in statistical analysis, data wrangling, and feature engineering, with the ability to derive insights from large and complex datasets.
• Proficient in designing and conducting experiments, with a strong understanding of A/B testing and evaluation metrics for computing intelligence model performance.
• Strong coding skills in relevant programming languages, with experience in data visualization and presentation of results.
• Ability to independently design and execute experiments, with a focus on iterative learning and improvement.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to tackling open-ended, ambiguous challenges in computing intelligence research.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
