About Your Opportunity:
As the Project Manager for LV Concrete, you will be responsible for building effective relationships and problem solving with team members, subcontractors, and clients. You will oversee project financials, risk management, and client relations. Your responsibility is to secure and manage projects, cost control, administration, and performance following company policy, standards, and goals. Support the Estimators with pricing and budgeting information for work opportunities.
How You'll Contribute:
• Attend and actively participates in department and company meetings.
• Provide Estimates and Budgets for changes in the work/scope.
• Prepare and issues project documents including progress reports, project schedule updates, and financial/budget updates, weekly at the OPS meeting.
• Initiate periodic meetings and other forms of communication with project team members and client, to acquaint them with unresolved problems and to provide an adequate degree of coordination.
• You will monitor project progress for adherence to schedule and man hour expenditures versus percent complete.
• Re-plan and make corrections/adjustments to maintain schedule; identifies cause, advises client and negotiate changes in contract.
• Monitor project scope for changes affecting budget and schedule; identifies cause, advises client and negotiate changes in contract.
• Keep client informed of progress on the project and of any technical problems/solutions and their effect on design and costs.
• Identify solution to any problem which might impede progress of the project or adversely affect client relations. This includes soliciting the help and personal involvement of management in the solution of unusual technical problems encountered during work.
• You will help with the project procurement process including, interview preparation, staff planning, scheduling, and interview process.
• Review safety requirements in pre-installation planning sessions and obtain acknowledgement by sub(s) to ensure they follow our guidelines. You will also conduct site safety inspections.
• Prepare the project plan, sequence and schedule with collaboration of field personnel.
• Prepare and issues project documents including progress reports, project schedule updates, and financial/budget updates at monthly forecasting meetings with VP and accountant.
• Initiate periodic meetings and other forms of communication with project team members and customer, to acquaint them with unresolved problems and to provide an adequate degree of coordination.
• You will manage and develop the Project Assistants and Project Engineer(s).
• Prepare monthly pay applications with accountant and project assistant.
• Work with accountant to follow up with clients who are 60 days past due with payments.
• Collaborate with Superintendent providing preconstruction schedule.
• Assist Superintendent building a manpower schedule using construction schedule/estimate.
• Attend bid reviews with estimators/GM/operations manager/superintendents.
• Review contract docs with GM/operations manager/estimators/superintendents.
• Assist with initial project setup/logistics
Relationships:
• Reports to the LV Concrete General Manager
• Interacts with the Project Teams, Superintendents, Clients and Team Members
Authority:
• Approve Non-Budgeted items up to $2,500
• Approve Budgeted items up to $10,000

Qualifications
• B.S. degree in Construction technology, Engineering or other related discipline or 3-7 years relevant
Construction experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience performing and supervising construction work
• Experience in construction project management with contract values of $1 million and up.
• Experience in multiple disciplines including, project management, estimating, preconstruction services,
and construction management.
• Experience in the sales and marketing process including making presentations to potential customers.
• OSHA 10 Hour Certification
• OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR is preferred
• Ability to read and understand contract drawings and specifications
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel and Word, and Bluebeam
• Ability to perform work at elevations above ground level
Have a valid driver license with the ability to travel and work additional hours when needed to meet business plan goals. Ability to work on multiple projects and travel as necessary.
