Project Manager - PMP - REMOTE


A Technical Project Manager/IT Application Owner(SSM SAFe 6) will interface with key

stakeholders and have technical proficiency across different stages of the Software

Development Life Cycle in SAFe 6.0 practices. This is leadership Position on a Global

Migration of Applications where the Technical Project Manager also acts as the IT

Application Owner. The Project Manager/IT Application Owner will facilitate Scrum ceremonies with a focus on maintaining scrum team and stakeholders participation. The Technical Project

Manager/IT Application Owner will develop user training programs, maintain detailed records

of scrum , lead Program Increment Planning, lead Quality and Assurance Initiatives, and

support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects. The Project Manager/IT Application Owner will be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and

collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

The Technical Project Manager/IT Application Owner will work closely with cross-functional

teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful delivery/ alignment with business goals.


Key Responsibilities:


Ownership and Accountability:


· Lead Global Application Migration Effort including two scrum teams for a suite of applications that the candidate owns.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned application(s).

· Provide updated status on your projects including a development schedule.

· Become familiar with the applications you are responsible for.


Compliance and Governance:


· Complete a form any applications that do not already have one. If they have one just do an update

· ARB (Architecture Review Board)

· Clara

· Archer (Global Trade review & Cyber review)

· ATO (Authorization to Operate) – Challenge is to obtain a clear security scan

· Create all the technical documents & diagrams

· Represent the applications in all meetings at Pratt (IT Application Owner).


Code Review:


· Performance Monitoring and Optimization.

· Monitor applications performance and ensure optimal functionality.

· Identify Issues and/or bottlenecks. When a problem occurs schedule debugging sessions with the appropriate personnel and communicate the issue with the Project Team.


System Design: (For the 3 applications that provide views for an oracle database) –

One application is very well designed and document. The 3 applications that provide

views of an oracle database using a JAVA application are not well designed and there

is little to no documentation, but the candidate will have access to the person who

developed them.


· Collaborate with business units, IT teams, Military Engines business owner) and other stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback. Details will be provided

· Communicate updates, changes, and potential issues to relevant parties.


Team Leadership:

· Ability to Coach as well as lead the Team in SAFe 6.0 Practices.

· Ability to manage more than one scrum team at the same time.

· Experience as a Technical Project Manager/IT Application Owner facilitating ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand up, demos and retrospective).

· Ability to plan and prioritize team workloads by accurately estimating resources and timelines, proactively identify risks, monitor execution against key metrics, and adapt swiftly to contingencies to ensure optimal delivery.

· Lead and mentor two teams providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.

· Coordinate daily activities, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.

· Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence in testing practices.

· Ability to lead teams in a Waterfall and/or Agile Environment.

Test Planning and Strategy:

· Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements, specifications, and risk assessments.

· Define test objectives, scope, and timelines, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to review and refine testing requirements, acceptance criteria, and test coverage.

Execution and Monitoring:

· Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

· Monitor project progress, including adherence to timelines and budgets.

· Address and resolve any issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle.


Stakeholder Management:


· Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates on project status.

· Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed and met.

· Expert at positively mitigating issues leading to a positive outcome.

· Ability to manage a diverse team of experts.

Quality Assurance Processes:

· Establish and maintain QA best practices, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in testing activities.

· Implement and enforce quality assurance processes throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to release management.

· Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess the effectiveness of QA processes and identify areas for improvement.

Communication and Reporting:

· Communicate progress, and issues effectively to project stakeholders, including program managers, developers, and business analysts.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and resolution of risk/issues and dependencies.

· Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

· Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Budget and Resource Management:

· Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency.

· Track expenditures and resource utilization.

Risk Management:

· Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

· Monitor and address any project risks or issues promptly.
