The Sr. Applications Engineer will be responsible for designing matching networks to optimize performance of power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, and RF control products.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The applications engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for a growing portfolio of RF front-end products for a multitude of communications applications.
  • The position will work with customers and the sales team to grow Qorvo's High Performance RF Solutions business.
  • Develop reference designs and implement custom RF matching circuits to optimize application performance.
  • The engineer will determine customer requirements for specific applications and recommend the right solutions including assistance with design-in for system integration.
  • Troubleshooting of customers systems implementation of Qorvo's products.
  • Work closely with the design team and product line manager to create product datasheets and application note documentation, product evaluation boards, and training material for customers.
  • Work with product line managers to ensure that customer requirements are met with new product introductions.
  • Competitive technical analysis and benchmarking of products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree required;
  • Masters preferred with focus on RF/Microwave
  • 3+ years of working experience.
  • Working knowledge of RF semiconductors for power amplifiers, LNA, RF switches, attenuators, and filters.
  • Working knowledge of using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzer, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to create reference designs through design of matching networks.Capable of nonlinear simulation in ADS or MWO.
