Job Description
Deep knowledge in Maintain and Support the CICS, MQ and WAS in IBM z/OS environments as Mainframe CICS & MQ system programmer.
Deep knowledge in Installing and configuration of CICS and MQ in z/OS systems and excellent in performing debugging and problem analysis
Deep Knowledge in CICS & MQ Version upgrade in IBM z/OS
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
 
Install, maintain, and customize CICS Transaction Server and associated 3rd party software
Monitor CICS Environment across life cycles for error free operation and availability
Perform administration functions like defining new regions and removing obsolete regions
Apply RSU maintenance and maintain PORTS reserved for CICS
Upgrade versions and constantly strive optimal response time of transactions. 
Generate and analyze CICS region performance reports, and tune the parameters / configuration and improve the overall performance
Provide support on CICS administration for application team requirements
Perform system and application related region modifications upon request, Analyze transaction ABENDs and maintain the CICS region connections
Regularly review Automation and Dependency of systems tasks
Provide support and troubleshooting for MQSeries on z/OS
Provide Installation, upgrade and maintenance support for Applications using IBM MQSeries
Monitor and Manage MQ objects and Queue Managers to maintain subsystem availability in Mainframe environment
Perform Backup of objects whenever new objects are added in the MQ QMGR and when requested by the authorized Buyer application teams
Delete particular message from the queue when requested by authorized Buyer application teams
Reset the channel, start and stop MQ subsystems
Collect and publish monthly usage statistics for MQ Queue Manager, objects and messages
Implement and regularly review Automation and Dependency of systems
