UNIX Developer
Location: Irving, TX
Experience: 6 - 10 Years
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled UNIX Developer with strong expertise in scripting, software development, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will design and build scalable solutions in Unix environments while mentoring junior developers and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain scripts/utilities in Unix using Shell, Python, or Perl.
  • Design, implement, and execute unit and integration tests using JUnit and related frameworks.
  • Work with relational databases (Oracle preferred) for data handling and integration.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Unix scripting and development best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and meet project deadlines.
  • Apply OOP concepts, design patterns, and continuous delivery principles in solution design.
Required Skills
  • 3+ years of hands-on development experience in Unix environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies and software engineering best practices.
  • Expertise in Shell scripting, Python, or Perl.
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies with hands-on JUnit experience.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle preferred).
