What You Will Do:
Join Hayes Performance Systems as our Applications Engineer and play a key role in supporting customer programs from initial application through production. You'll help translate customer needs into practical solutions while supporting quality, delivery, and program expectations.
In this highly collaborative role, you'll combine engineering knowledge with customer partnership, working alongside Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Sales. You'll support new applications, help solve technical challenges, and coordinate activities that keep customer programs moving forward.
How You Will Do It:
  • Serve as a key technical and program contact for designated customers
  • Support supplier and program activities including APQP, PFMEA, customer deviations, and risk assessments
  • Translate customer requirements into clear technical, commercial, and program actions
  • Support new applications through brake analysis, benchmarking, and system sizing recommendations
  • Coordinate engineering changes using Hayes processes, systems, and customer portals
  • Coordinate project timelines and cross-functional activities to support customer programs and deliverables
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on RMAs, corrective actions, PPAPs, and customer quality requirements
  • Identify and address technical or communication gaps that could impact quality, delivery, or customer responsiveness
  • Support customer inquiries and quoting activities for new and existing applications
  • Provide product and application training to commercial teams across existing and emerging markets
  • Review customer scorecards and support continuous improvement activities
What We Look For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a technical discipline, or related field preferred
  • Engineering or technical experience supporting customer applications, product development, or manufacturing
  • Experience working with customers on technical, quality, or program requirements
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, corrective actions, or related manufacturing quality processes preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work across technical and commercial teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment
