Daikin Applied is seeking an Applications Engineer I. In this position, you will provide technical expertise on company products to sales representatives in the selection and application of business unit products to fulfill specific field requirements. You will be required to collaborate effectively with customers while effectively demonstrating the value of company product lines. Additionally, depending on your level of experience, you may provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization. Location: Onsite - Phoenix, AZ
What you will do:
  • Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing
  • Review plans and specifications as it relates to Modular Solutions products
  • Select and quote products associated with the design of the Modular Solution
  • Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs.
  • Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace
  • Configure products and services to meet customer requirements
  • Prepare technical literature for internal and field applications
  • Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 0-2 years of Sales Applications Engineering experience (Lvl I)
  • General understanding of hydronic systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability for direct customer communications proficiency
  • Microsoft suite software proficiency
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
  • Estimating experience is a plus
  • Microsoft Excel, AutoCad & 3D Modeling proficiency
  • Hydronic system design and application
  • Strong drive to grow in your career
  • Any previous Sales Applications Engineering experience or technical customer support experience
