Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Technician Support professional for our Brake Dynamometer testing team. In this role, you will provide essential technical support to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of brake dynamometer systems. Your hands-on expertise will help optimize test procedures, troubleshoot equipment issues, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge automotive testing projects.
Schedule
  • Monday - Friday
  • 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
  • Occasional weekend work as requested

Responsibilities
  • Assist with setup, calibration, and operation of brake dynamometer equipment to simulate real-world driving conditions
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on dynamometer systems, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control system diagrams to diagnose issues effectively
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to evaluate system performance
  • Support the integration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated testing sequences
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage electrical systems, and industrial mechanics

Requirements
  • Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial maintenance environments
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in hydraulics, welding (including welding), and industrial mechanics
  • Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, and industrial electrician practices including high voltage and low voltage troubleshooting
  • Experience operating field service equipment such as scissor lifts and HVAC/R systems is a plus
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics fluently in English; excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and precision measuring instruments is highly desirable
  • Industrial electrician experience or military background in related fields is advantageous
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
