Job Description Application Lead Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | 8-5 Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in West Chester, Ohio that's expanding its Shared Services team. Role Description: The Application Lead is responsible for serving as the primary functional and technical expert for one or more business-critical applications within the organization's technology portfolio. Reporting to the Product Portfolio Director, this role partners closely with Product Managers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure applications are stable, well-understood, and effectively supported.

The Application Lead focuses on day-to-day application ownership from a support, configuration, and usability standpoint-acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholder questions, issue triage, and application-specific guidance-while supporting ongoing enhancements led by Product Management. Key Responsibilities: Application Ownership & Expertise: Serve as the subject-matter expert for assigned applications, deeply understanding functionality, configuration, integrations, and business usage. Stakeholder Support & Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for business users, providing guidance, troubleshooting support, and clear communication.

Operational Support & Issue Management: Coordinate application issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution in partnership with IT Operations, vendors, and Product Managers. Change & Enhancement Support: Support application changes, releases, and enhancements by validating configurations, coordinating testing, and preparing stakeholders. Documentation & Knowledge Enablement: Maintain application documentation, usage guidance, and support artifacts to improve self-service and reduce friction.

Tasks & Duties: Application Expertise & Ownership Develop and maintain deep knowledge of assigned applications, including configuration, workflows, and integrations. Understand how applications support business processes and outcomes. Stay current on application capabilities, limitations, and vendor roadmaps.

Stakeholder Support & Communication Serve as the first point of contact for application-related questions and issues. Translate business needs into clear application-level context for Product and IT teams. Communicate known issues, workarounds, and upcoming changes to users.

Issue Management & Coordination Triage application issues and coordinate resolution across IT Ops, vendors, and Product teams. Track issues through resolution and ensure appropriate follow-up and documentation. Identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.

Change & Release Support Support testing and validation of application updates and enhancements. Assist with release readiness by ensuring stakeholders understand changes and impacts. Partner with Product Managers on rollout planning and support.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement Maintain application documentation, FAQs, and support guides. Identify opportunities to improve usability, adoption, and support efficiency. Provide feedback to Product Managers on enhancement opportunities and user pain points.
