Job description

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician. You will be part of a fast moving team executing vital tasks in support of the construction and development of the KHA family of Ultra Long Endurance aircrafts. This individual must possess excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to following precise procedures and engineering drawings, utilizing tools such as Dremel, soldering iron, and crimpers.

Responsibilities:

  • UAV Assembly & Modification: Perform routine assembly of UAV systems following detailed procedures and engineering specifications.
  • Mechanical and Electrical Integration: Building various mechanical and electrical subassemblies utilizing hand tools, power tools, soldering irons and crimpers in strict adherence to documented procedures.
  • Harness Building: Build wiring harnesses precisely according to engineering drawings and build-to-print procedures.
  • System Testing & Troubleshooting: Execute pre-defined system tests and document results. Report any deviations or failures to the Engineering team.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all assembly and testing processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Able to read and meticulously follow engineering drawings and assembly procedures.
  • Comfortable and attentive while working hands-on with tools such as a Dremel, soldering iron, and crimpers.
  • US citizenship
  • Local to the Bay Area, commuting to Hayward office required (CA)

Plus:

  • Ardupilot or similar autopilot configuration experience
  • Model Airplane building/flying experience
  • Veteran
  • BS Degree
