Travel Possible Job Summary: The Low Observables (LO) Expediter Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating low observable maintenance operations in support of 5th Generation aircraft mission readiness. Reporting directly to the Coatings Section Supervisor, this position provides oversight of LO maintenance production activities including restorations, touch-ups, reductions, OML management, audits, and turn-over coordination while ensuring strict compliance with technical data, quality standards, safety requirements, and Performance Work Statement (PWS) obligations. The LO Expediter Supervisor directs daily maintenance scheduling and resource allocation, monitors aircraft status and maintenance progress, and coordinates with internal and external support agencies to ensure timely and effective mission execution. This role also provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel, supports root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality findings and maintenance incidents, and ensures accurate maintenance documentation within applicable management information systems. The position serves as a key operational leader in maintaining aircraft availability, quality assurance compliance, and overall maintenance effectiveness within a dynamic flight line environment. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Key Responsibilities * LO Expediter Supervisors report directly to the Coatings Section Supervisor. * Supervise, manage, control, and direct resources to accomplish LO maintenance. * Ensures maintenance accomplished on all assigned aircraft by coordinating maintenance activities within the section and outside support agencies. Specifically, managing all LO restoration work, reductions, touch-ups, OMLs, and audits. * Ensures strict adherence to technical data and maintenance procedures. * Know, understand, and comply with the requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement. * Direct daily LO maintenance scheduling, establishing ETICS, tracks aircraft progress, and turn-over coordination. * Monitors safety of flight priorities. Ensure IMIS/ALIS documentation is performed on all maintenance and OML tasks, and to hold personnel accountable of this requirement. * Assists in maintenance management analysis to determine root causes for quality assurance findings and incidents. * Coordinates technical guidance for managers, leads, or engineers as required. * Assists in maintenance management analysis to determine root causes for quality assurance findings and incidents. * Ensure work areas, vehicles, and equipment are kept clean and stored in proper places. * Provides technical guidance and direction to technicians as required. * Will be required to obtain and maintain special certifications as directed by management. * Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance. * Provide assistance in writing/initiating engineering technical assistance requests. May be tasked to perform investigations into maintenance mishaps. * Provides answers and corrective actions to include disciplinary actions for all Quality Assurance/AMIC non- conformances, negative evaluations, audits, and customer feedbacks. * Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by supervisor and other functions as required IAW DAFI 21-101. Additional Duties as Assigned * Will perform relevant additional duties as assigned. Page 2 of 2 Qualifications and Experience: Education * High School diploma (or equivalent) required. Experience * Minimum 10 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience (USAF) with at least 3 years supervisory experience and 3 years aircraft production experience on F-22s or F-35s. * Civilian aviation license or equivalent military technical training certificate. * Must be able to work days, nights, or weekend duty and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team as required. Skills/Knowledge * Must have working knowledge of MIS systems, forms documentation. Strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required for 5th Generation fighter aircraft. * Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner. Must have an in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives, aircraft/vehicle movement, flight line operations, aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications (read, interpret, follow, and comprehend schematics, diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications). * Must be able to obtain and maintain any Special Access Program (SAP) requirements. * Obtain/maintain security clearance. Obtain/maintain aircraft/equipment Red X/IPI certification. * Current valid U.S. Driver's License. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a government competency card. * If controlled movement area (CMA) access is required, must be able to pass color vision test. Working Conditions: * Work is performed in office, aircraft hangar, and active flight line environments. * Routine exposure to loud noise, moving aircraft, hazardous materials, and varying weather conditions. * Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and \ lifting. * May require work on elevated platforms and in confined or restricted access areas. * Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
