Position Responsibilities:
Operate the Managed Service platform and collaborate with internal service teams to meet our customers' individual needs for their infrastructure and application deployments. Re-produce complex customer issues to troubleshoot and determine root cause. Drive customer communication during critical events. Build proof of concept environments that abide by cloud-best-practices. Collaborate to help build utilities and tools for internal use that enable AWS Engineers to operate safely at high speed and wide scale. Identify and drive improvements for technical processes. Learn and leverage groundbreaking technologies. Act as an escalation point and mentor to less experienced engineers on the team and across Amazon. Leverage day-to-day experiences to provide the voice of the customer to internal AWS teams.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and four years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept six years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and four years of experience. Must have four years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) Using Linux or Windows Operating System support; (2) using service-oriented architecture and web services; (3) Configuration Management Software; (4) scripting/programming experience including PowerShell, Ruby, Python, or Bash; (5) Using IAM, Active Directory and ADFS; (6) supporting CI/CD workloads in a DevOps team; (7) configuring, managing or troubleshooting systems of scale including cloud, virtualization, distributed networks, and co-location; (8) Deploying and troubleshooting LAN, VPN, Firewalls, and TCP/IP; and (9) using aspects of security: including network, application, security protocols, and cryptography.
