Job description

We're looking for a UX Designer to join the éShop Innovation team, a multidisciplinary group of Design Technologists and UX Designers shaping the next generation of Premium and Luxury shopping experiences. You will work at the intersection of customer experience, product design, and emerging technology. Using GenAI, automation, real-time data, and adaptive interfaces, you will turn new ideas into simple, fluid, and useful customer experiences.
The role combines rapid prototyping, systems thinking, and customer-focused problem-solving. You will move beyond static screens to build and test interactive prototypes using real data, logic, APIs, and AI models. You will also use AI tools to explore concepts, automate flows, and test ideas faster.
Working closely with design technology, product, engineering, and content teams, you will turn ambiguous needs into clear, testable solutions. You will solve difficult design and technical challenges, learn from customers, and help move successful concepts into scalable, high-quality shopping experiences.
Key job responsibilities
1. Solve complex design and technical problems, even when the product strategy is still taking shape. Design connected and adaptive experiences across interfaces, content, data and technology.
2. Go beyond static screens and traditional design deliverables. Use AI tools, working prototypes, real data, logic and APIs to explore ideas, test assumptions and show how the experience works.
3. Create clear content structures, guidance and interaction language. Make complex features easy to understand and use.
4. Work closely with product, engineering, research, content and data teams. Build alignment and design within the capabilities and constraints.
5. Lead workshops, brainstorming sessions and design reviews. Present ideas clearly, drive decisions and create patterns, standards and processes that scale.
6. Use product data, customer feedback and usability research to guide decisions. Measure results and improve the experience over time.
7. Stay hands-on from concept to delivery. Turn ideas into clear designs, build prototypes, refine the details and present solutions that teams can evaluate and build.
8. Apply strong design taste and technical precision to create modern, refined and premium experiences. Use new technology with care to create work that feels distinctive, progressive and well resolved.
A day in the life
You will be a hands-on designer who is unafraid to take on the toughest challenges and bring clarity to complex situations.
You will build strong relationships with fellow designers and partner closely with product, engineering and business teams across the organization. Together, you will explore new possibilities, turn ideas into working experiences and launch high-quality solutions for customers around the world. You will stay close to emerging technologies, evolving design practices and shifts in customer behavior. You will explore how new capabilities can create more refined and elevated customer experiences, while staying focused on real customer needs rather than innovation for its own sake.
You will bring curiosity, sound judgment and a strong sense of ownership to the role. Most importantly, you will have a genuine passion for solving customer problems and keep their needs at the centre of every decision.
About the team
This role sits within éShop, the organization responsible for creating elevated product content and shopping experiences across Amazon. éShop brings together creative, production, design, technology, and operations to help customers discover, understand, and engage with products across global marketplaces. The team combines UX innovation, design technology, AI-enabled content creation, workflow development, and operational readiness to turn new ideas into scalable customer experiences.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
- Knowledge of usability principles and techniques
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
- Experience in mass-market consumer web / mobile products
- Experience in visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
- Bachelor's degree
- Expertise in AI tools and AI-assisted design methodologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience shipping innovative, successful consumer products
- Experience working in international cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree or above in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or Master's degree
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.
