Join the CTCU Team! Community Trust Credit Union is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our team in Lake County, IL. This full-time role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic people initiatives with hands-on daily support. The Human Resources Generalist will help strengthen our workplace culture, support employees and leaders, and ensure HR programs are administered accurately, confidentially, and in compliance with employment laws.In this role, you will contribute to talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, workforce planning, and HR recordkeeping. You will be a trusted partner to employees and leadership while helping maintain a positive, professional, and service-focused work environment.What You'll DoAs our Human Resources Generalist, you will support the full employee lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing candidates to coordinating onboarding and orientation for new team members. You will help manage performance evaluation processes, support training and development initiatives, and assist with succession planning and talent management efforts that promote long-term organizational success.You will also administer key HR programs, including benefits, FMLA, workers' compensation, payroll-related processes, and employee records. A strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and service will be essential as you respond to employee questions, maintain HR data, and help ensure compliance with employment and labor laws.This position will partner closely with leaders and employees to resolve workplace concerns, strengthen communication, and support a positive culture. Safe Harbor funds are 100% vested and employees who have met eligibility requirements are eligible to receive the Safe Harbor contribution by completing one hour of service.
