The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC), AWS Commerce Platform team is hiring a cleared Systems Development Engineer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.
In this role, you will join a team of highly talented engineers that build and support Amazon's billing systems in air-gapped cloud environments

This role enables you to deliver impact at scale, and the work you do unlocks the latest in billing and cost management capabilities for all of our US ADC customers.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

A day in the life
On a "typical" day engineers might deep dive to root cause a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending the wrong way, consult with the top engineers at Amazon, or discuss radical new approaches to automate the remediation of operational issues.

We work collaboratively across the broader organization to pull in the right subject matter experts, principal engineers, and engineering teams to deliver results for our customers. We work diligently to navigate public sector regulatory requirements with the scale of commercial cloud.
