Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain horizontal injection molding machines according to process specifications and safety procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and filter changes.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process problems related to machine functionality, material flow, and part quality.
  • Monitor and record machine parameters to ensure consistent production output and adherence to quality control standards.
  • Assist with mold changes, including cleaning, inspection, and proper installation.
  • Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with production team members and engineers to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to minimize waste and downtime.
  • May be required to lift and move materials weighing up to [weight limit].
  • Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with horizontal injection molding.
  • Proven understanding of plastic processing principles.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical manuals.
