Ontario Health is seeking a Specialist, Performance, Accountability and Funding Allocation to support high-impact regional health system planning, performance management, and funding allocation initiatives. This role works with Health Service Providers (HSP's), internal teams, and system partners to advance integrated, high-quality care and improve outcomes for people across Ontario.

This role is regional in nature and pertinent to the needs of the West Region.

Here is what you will be doing:

  • Support performance management and accountability activities for Health Service Providers (HSP's) across sectors such as mental health and addictions, hospitals, primary care and long-term care, with a focus on integration and system improvement.

  • Analyze programs, services, funding needs and performance data to inform planning, implementation, recommendations and decision-making.

  • Contribute to Ontario Health Annual Business Plan activities, regional priorities and Ministry-aligned initiatives that improve access, quality and outcomes.

  • Prepare performance reports, briefing notes, presentations, and recommendations by interpreting data, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and translating insights into action.

  • Collaborate with local and regional programs, networks and community partners to identify opportunities, address service gaps, and implement health system improvements.

  • Support community engagement activities, build awareness of health services, and share standards of practice with providers and partners.

  • Monitor high-risk issues, participate in local and provincial system discussions, and help advance coordinated responses to emerging priorities.

  • Assist with Service Accountability Agreements and related schedules from initiation through completion in one or more designated sectors.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

Here is what you will need to be successful:

Education and Experience

  • University Degree in a business, healthadministrationor a health-related fieldor an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: planning, health care administration, health care service delivery, performance and finance; healthcare environment preferred

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to work effectively with HSPs, and to liaise with colleagues across Ontario Health and with contacts in the Ministry.

  • Familiarity with available provincial health asset databases and tools such as Self-Reporting Initiative (SRI), Visual Analytics in support of work assignment(s)
