The Team

Crypto Product and Engineering is responsible for leading cryptographic security and cross-functional product teams to accelerate the build of global security services, advance engineering capabilities, and work with global technology and business partners to lead foundational and transformational security products strategically across the enterprise.

The Role

As a Crypto Engineer, you will be a core member of the Crypto Engineering pillar, responsible for the design, building, and patterning of security capabilities into foundational and transformational cryptographic security products across the enterprise in collaboration with various business lines, IT support, and Information Security & Control functions.

  • Lead multiple innovative crypto security capability initiatives and solve complex technical challenges, ensuring the crypto platforms are secure and resilient.
  • Develop crypto security solution patterns aligned with bank standards, policies, and risk appetite to meet business needs.
  • Work closely with Product and TechOps Engineers to ensure seamless alignment and integration of Crypto Engineering patterns, designs, and capabilities.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for assigned projects, initiatives, and daily processes, realizing results, with minimal guidance.
  • Operate within a positive environment with highly motivated individuals that want to reduce the risks within the bank.
  • Provide technical mentorship to engineers within your team and communicate best practices when working with other engineering teams.
  • Respond to various audit, compliance, and IT risk teams to remediate risk-related issues.
  • Contribute continuous iterative improvements in all processes and procedures within the team, while considering and evaluating the bank's risk appetite and risk culture.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience in implementation and deployment of complex or large-scale applications/systems/platforms in an enterprise and financial setting.
  • Familiarity with security patterns and architecture frameworks.
  • Hands-on technical working experience in programming languages such as (by not limited to) Java, bash, and PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of software development lifecycle and tools including JIRA, Bitbucket (Git), and Confluence.
  • Ability to apply security principles to crypto platforms and solutions to meet IT standards, methodologies, key management regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Working knowledge and experience in crypto engineering and platforms, key management practices, as well as good knowledge of other information security domains.
  • Working knowledge of business analysis technology (PowerBI, Excel).
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written/presentation), negotiating, and interpersonal skills with the ability to summarize material for senior management in English. The same in Spanish is a strong asset.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to stay current on evolving cryptographic security trends and technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or a related field would be an asset.
  • Security accreditations. Will be an asset.
  • Cloud security (GCP, Azure) and container (Kubernetes) knowledge.
