ALL4 is seeking a Directing Consultant to join our team. This individual is a recognized name in the environmental community, acts as a business driver, and is an expert Managing Consultant or Technical Consultant who can sell, manage, do, and transition ALL4 services. The Directing Consultant understands the consulting business and has proven ability to develop strong relationships with existing and potential clients while managing projects and maintaining a high degree of client satisfaction while meeting profit targets. This individual is a self-motivated, coachable, growth-oriented individual who uses their expertise and experience to aid in the growth of environmental services at ALL4. This individual is committed to furthering our vision as a globally recognized consulting company shaping environmental, health and safety responsibility and creating distinction for employees, clients, and partners while working closely with clients in strategic partnerships supported by a foundation of authentic communication, personal ownership, and accountability. Being a leadership role, it is preferred to have the Directing Consultant near an ALL4 office working in a hybrid capacity; however, fully remote can be an option.



Requirements

  • Lead in a manner that is aligned and represents ALL4's core values both internally and externally.
  • Accountable for significant new business sales revenue.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow profitable customer relationships. Cultivate, maintain, and grow annual client portfolio of greater than $2MM. 
  • Demonstrate expertise in business financials and a keen understanding of the consulting business model.
  • Master the ALL4 sales process and demonstrate ability to lead new-business opportunities from introduction to closure.
  • Generate new business in conjunction with business development professionals consistent with personal business plans.
  • Prioritize client engagement through routine and repeating outreach, in-person connection, and intentional sharing of ALL4 services and capabilities.
  • Evaluate clients from a wholistic, often national, perspective with the goal of expanding services.
  • Own the transition of client relationships to Managing Consultants, resulting in increased opportunities for professional growth of others. Remain vested in the client and assist with any issues or concerns after client transition and proactively obtain client feedback.
  • Overcome technical and business barriers of prospective and current clients.
  • Demonstrate a high-level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Understand, implement, and lead ALL4's vision.
  • May be required to coordinate staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Consistently and reliably meet or exceed company fixed fee revenue targets and personal utilization goals.
  • Cultivate and lead the project lifecycle from point of sale through transition to a new project manager.
  • Manage annual client revenues targets as determined collaboratively by the leadership team.
  • Plan, organize, and execute projects; multiple projects across industries, while serving as clients' primary point of contact.
  • Develop and review proposals based upon client's requirements and plans, scheduling and managing project work to meet contract requirements within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Ensure project compliance with ALL4 quality assurance procedures.

Technical Management

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in one or more regulatory or technical service areas.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the regulatory community, legal counsel, industry/environmental technical experts, and peers.
  • Prepare and present conference papers or presentations.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level staff in matters related to their area(s) of technical expertise.
  • Develop technical approach and cost assumptions for proposals and scope of work documents to attain project work and to meet schedules and contract requirements.
  • Assume technical responsibility and maintain routine and timely communication with all internal and external project participants.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or applicable environmental/science degree and collective experiences equivalent to >10 years of environmental permitting and compliance consulting work or industry experience. Advanced degree and/or professional designation preferred.
  • Expert working knowledge of technical subjects impacting clients; specialized knowledge in environmental regulatory and/or technical disciplines.
  • Established relationships with regulatory agencies and/or industrial sector families.
  • Proven sales success and experience using Customer Relationship Manager software.
  • Exceptional ability to develop, lead, and enroll strong teams with a wide range of personality types.
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization.
  • Commitment to excellence and ALL4's core values; openness to change, personal growth, and coaching.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely, sound decisions and navigate ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong document production skills (proficiency in Word and Excel) and technical writing ability.
  • Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills.
