Job description

Hop Shops, a division of Valor Oil is looking for a District Manager. The role is responsible for maximizing the operational efficiency of all HOP Shops convenience store, ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures by Store Managers, and maintaining a safe, pleasant environment for his/her Team and Customers. The District Manager is expected to provide Leadership to his/her managers so that the store's performance excels! The District Manager reports to the Director of Store Operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Operational & Financial Leadership: Lead district-wide operations by holding Store Managers accountable for P&L performance, labor optimization, and consistent execution of SOPs to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Food Program Excellence: Take full ownership of the food service category, ensuring high standards for product quality, food safety compliance (ServSafe), waste control, and margin performance through hands-on coaching and kitchen support.
  • People Development & Succession: Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing leadership team; build "bench strength" through proactive succession planning, performance evaluations, and structured training.
  • Brand Standards & Guest Experience: Maintain "audit-ready" stores by enforcing strict standards for cleanliness, merchandising, and customer service to boost loyalty metrics and brand engagement.
  • Compliance & Strategic Support: Ensure total adherence to regulatory requirements (tobacco, alcohol, fuel) and safety protocols while leading district-level initiatives, such as new store openings and technology rollouts.

Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have minimum of high school diploma
  • 2 - 3 years of management experience required
