Job description

Director, Government & Remote Connectivity Sales - TeraWave Develop and execute global government connectivity sales strategy for TeraWave across international markets and customers

Location: Seattle, Washington

Compensation: $169,624 - 237,473 USD / year

About The Role Director Of Government & Remote Connectivity Sales

Blue Origin is seeking a Director of Government & Remote Connectivity Sales to lead market strategy and revenue growth for TeraWave, Blue Origin's connectivity solutions business. This senior role will drive business development across government agencies and remote-sector customers globally - including coast guards, border security, departments of energy, rural municipalities, and public education programs. The ideal candidate brings deep technical fluency in connectivity systems, proven success navigating complex government procurement environments, and the leadership instincts to build and scale a high-impact commercial practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategy for government and remote connectivity segments globally, aligned with TeraWave's capabilities and growth objectives
  • Own executive relationships across priority government entities - including border security, coast guards, rural municipalities, ministries of education, and national emergency services
  • Lead structured VoC programs through field engagements and stakeholder interviews; translate insights into customer personas, segmentation frameworks, and product and pricing inputs
  • Identify opportunities in remote and frontier markets, including grant programs, universal service mechanisms, and rural broadband subsidy structures
  • Lead complex deal pursuits from identification through award, structuring agreements across diverse international procurement frameworks
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams - product, engineering, legal, and contracts - to develop winning proposals and RFP responses
  • Ensure all engagements adhere to applicable acquisition regulations, export controls, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of enterprise or government sales and business development experience, with demonstrated success leading complex, multi-stakeholder pursuits
  • Proven track record selling connectivity, telecommunications, or infrastructure solutions to government or public sector customers
  • Solid working knowledge of satellite architectures (LEO, MEO, GEO), RF fundamentals, and terrestrial last-mile technologies including LTE/5G, VSAT, and microwave backhaul
  • Ability to read and interpret technical RFPs, system specifications, and SOW documents
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, including international engagements
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or technical graduate degree preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee
Preferred
  • Existing relationships with relevant U.S. federal and state agencies or international equivalents
  • Experience with hybrid network architectures, managed services delivery models, and spectrum licensing across international markets
  • Familiarity with government network security frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC) and the ability to engage credibly with technical procurement teams

This is a rare opportunity to define how TeraWave engages with one of the most compelling and underdeveloped segments in global connectivity. As the company's senior leader for this space, you will shape not just pipeline, but product strategy and go-to-market architecture across international markets. For a leader who wants to build something - this is that opportunity.

Base Pay Range for WA applicants is $169,624.00 - $237,473.25. Other site ranges may differ.

Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
