Director of Nursing - Pediatric Day Program

The Kidz Club

Louisville, KY • On-site

Full-time

Job description

Director of Nursing – Pediatric Day Program
Lead with Heart. Nurse with Purpose. Be home for dinner.
At The Kidz Club PPEC, we believe every child, no matter how complex their medical needs, deserves a safe, nurturing place to grow, thrive, and just be a kid. We're looking for an experienced RN leader who shares that belief and is ready to step into a role that truly makes a difference every single day.

About the Role
As our Site Director of Nursing (SDON), you'll be the heartbeat of your center. You'll lead and support a dedicated team of clinical and non-clinical staff, champion quality care for the children and families we serve and help create an environment where everyone - staff and kids alike - feels seen, supported, and valued. Unlike a hospital setting, our children attend regularly, allowing our team to build long-term relationships with families while supporting each child's growth and development. You'll have the opportunity to lead clinical excellence while watching children achieve milestones that many families never thought possible.
This is a Monday through Friday position. No nights, no weekends, no major holidays. Just meaningful work, consistent hours, and a team that shows up for each other.
What You'll Do
You'll oversee the day-to-day clinical life of your facility - from supervising staff (RNs, LPNs, SRNAs, care support) and coordinating care plans to advocating for families and ensuring every child receives the individualized attention they deserve. Working within a multidisciplinary model, you'll coordinate with physicians, therapists, specialists, and community resources to make sure each child's needs are met with both clinical precision and genuine warmth.
You'll also serve as a key leader within The Kidz Club network, keeping your team informed, engaged, and growing - through in-service training, quality assurance, and a consistent culture of excellence and compassion.
Our Leadership Model
Each center is led by a two-person leadership team:
Director of Nursing
• Oversees nursing care, clinical quality, compliance, and staff development.
Center Administrator
• Oversees operations, staffing, family experience, transportation, and center performance.
Together, these leaders partner to ensure exceptional care, outstanding experiences for families, and a positive environment for staff.
What We're Looking For

  • Current RN licensure in the state of your designated facility (NLC accepted where applicable)
  • BSN preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 6 months in a PICU, NICU, or PPEC setting
  • Strong leadership presence with a warm, collaborative approach
  • Current BLS/CPR certification and TB test
  • Comfortable with basic computer skills and Microsoft Office

Benefits

  • Paid Time Off for Full-Time Employees
  • 401K and Student Loan Reimbursement Available for Full-Time and PRN Employees
  • Health Benefits or HRA
  • Vision and Dental Benefits
  • Life Insurance (Basic and Voluntary)
  • Long Term Care with Death Benefit
  • FSA - Dependent Care
  • Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance packages available for Full-Time Employees
  • Always Closed Nights, Sundays, and Major Holidays

Why The Kidz Club?
Because our kids are counting on people like you. Our centers are built on a foundation of compassion, clinical excellence, and genuine joy - and our nursing leaders are the reason that culture lives and breathes every day.
If you're ready to lead a team that cares deeply, works hard, and finds real meaning in what they do, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and bring your leadership where it matters most.
