Accounting Clerk - Contract 3227

Full Time Contract Position at 37.5 hours per week

Pay $28.23

•Applies the principles, theories, and concepts of accounting to specific systems and / or processes

•Assist in the preparation of reports for management and outside agencies on a timely basis

•Gathers and analyzes data necessary to complete required reports

•Prepares reconciliation of general ledger accounts as needed

•Manages the Purchase Order process – distribute P.O.s as needed; track P.O. totals to ensure no more than 10% over; maintain tracking spreadsheet; review P.O.s for accuracy

•Place all orders with credit card when needed

•Ensure Finance Officer approves payment for designated accounts

•Control the Kroger, Wal-Mart, Office Depot, Staples and other cards-make sure that the proper paper work is submitted from person wanting the card to shop

•Order forms and supplies as needed

•Maintain and process travel leave paperwork

•Maintain invoice files and ensure adherence to record retention laws

•Complete month end closing journal entries

•Input Fixed assets into accounting software

•Serve as back up for other finance staff

•Check and verify vendor statements

•Purchase, track, and account for Gift Cards

•Collect cash for agency clinics (I.e., Environmental Health & Protection Services and Public Health Clinic)

•Research and process the 1099 data before sending them out each year.
