Overview:

We are currently seeking a Supplemental Nutrition Program Quality Assurance/Business Analyst. Candidates will interview via Microsoft Teams video. This position is fully remote. A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our client's new project to determine eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). The project will involve updates to our client's existing systems and the creation of new systems or modules to support the WIC program. The selected candidates will attend WIC business process review, requirements gathering, and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for the WIC project to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the testing of the WIC project. The candidate will use knowledge gained in these sessions to draft thorough test plans and test scenarios and will execute testing. The candidate will work under deadlines, must be capable of handling a large workload, and must be able to work independently with only general directions. Prior experience determining eligibility for or supporting administration of the WIC program is strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities Include (But Not Limited To):
  • Drafting complete test plans and test scenarios for the WIC project.
  • Executing test scenarios and thoroughly documenting results.
  • Holding the system vendor accountable to satisfactorily resolve system defects and gaps discovered during testing of the WIC project.
  • Leading the test effort on the division's sections of the WIC project. This could include coordinating with other testers not specifically assigned to the WIC project and serving as the WIC SME (i.e. assisting those testers with questions on specific WIC functionality or reviewing their test results for accuracy).
  • Actively participating in all business process review, requirements gathering, and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and other meetings.
  • Reviewing design documentation drafted by the system vendor for thoroughness and completeness (e.g. ensure there are no gaps in the design and that the design meets business partner's requirements).
  • Coordinating with staff from our client's other divisions on the WIC Project.

Required Qualifications:
  • The candidate must have either prior experience in providing business analysis on a large-scale IT system or prior experience determining eligibility or supporting administration for the WIC program or a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience.
  • Experience with quality assurance.
  • Three to five years working in a Business Analyst position or three to five years strong background in the WIC program.
  • Experience performing testing and verifying solutions meet requirements.
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload with general direction.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in conjunction with team members.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills.
  • Must be adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodology.
  • Relationship management and facilitation skills.
  • Strong decision-making ability.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercising discretion is essential.
