Job description

Job Purpose

Provide a differential marketing advantage for AkzoNobel by delivering business development services to AkzoNobel Acoat Selected customers.  Support the Sales team by conducting business reviews and providing consultative services to Acoat customers and distributors, providing financial and operational analysis as needed.  Manage the implementation of all Acoat program activities for designated area.  

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Regional and National Acoat Performance Group meetings.
  • Provide classroom and/or online training to AkzoNobel's customers on Acoat selected curriculum.  Will develop and update classes on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in the sales process by providing Acoat services capabilities.
  • Provide onsite and online consulting services to functional areas including business finance and accounting methods, marketing, human resources, production and leadership development.  
  • Responsible for Services participation in selling and implementing AkzoNobel's patented production tool, Carbeat.
  • Responsible for Services participation in the Mutual Action Plan and communicating activities with Sales, Distribution and Collision Centers.   
  • Supervises performance versus plan objectives, recommending strategies to correct deficiencies by monitoring comparison results to increase the productivity of the Collision Center or Distributor. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 5 years' experience in the collision repair industry.  
  • Working knowledge of process-centered environments include Lean, 5s, Six Sigma, or Theory of Constraints and their application in collision centers and distributors.
  • Business, accounting and financial analysis skills required.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.  Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% to include overnight travel.

Rewards and Benefits

The salary range for these skills is $110,000.00 - $120,000.00.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.


This position is also eligible for an annual bonus target of 10%, based on individual and company performance and a monthly vehicle allowance/mileage reimbursement.
