Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Packaging Equipment
Join a leading specialty manufacturer in Monmouth County, NJ serving top cosmetic and personal care brands. Be part of an innovative team focused on high-speed production, advanced automation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic components on high-speed production equipment
Upgrade and program machine controls, including PLC systems, and implement process improvements
Perform equipment overhauls, support new machine builds, and assist engineering with design enhancements
Conduct root cause analysis, manage maintenance schedules in SAP, and support team training initiatives
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor"s degree in Engineering
3-5 years of hands-on experience with packaging or assembly equipment
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems with troubleshooting ability
Experience reading schematics and programming PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience leading small teams or project assignments
Familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP) and continuous improvement processes
