Job description

Embassy Suites is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team!

The Maintenance Engineer plays a critical role in assuring product quality through preventative maintenance of rooms/suites.

Will also be driving the hotel shuttle.

Clean driving record for the last 5 years is required.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responds promptly and follows through on guest requests in a friendly and effective manner
  • Troubleshoots and repairs basic maintenance, electrical, technical, HVAC, and plumbing needs in rooms/suites
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on all guest room/suite furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Inspects plumbing regularly
  • Takes care of the hotel's lighting needs
  • Ensures all appliances are working correctly 
  • Complies with hotel safety prevention rules and techniques, including fire safety
  • Drives hotel shutlle

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED; or one to two years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance skills, including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking and blueprint reading
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Clean driving record for the last 5 years
