Job description

Sky Café is seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused Commissary Warehouse Agents to support daily flight catering operations. In this role, you will be responsible for building and stripping aircraft galleys to airline specifications, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring all catering operations are completed accurately and on time.
Position Overview
Commissary Warehouse Agents are responsible for building and stripping aircraft galleys in accordance with client specifications for all scheduled flights. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment to meet strict arrival and departure schedules. Employees are expected to consistently demonstrate a professional and positive image, with a strong emphasis on the "Lead by Example" approach.
Commissary Warehouse Agents must report to work on a regular and timely basis and report directly to the Supervisor and/or Manager on duty.
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and actively promote company core values
  • Build and strip commissary according to airline specifications and established timelines
  • Ensure all production and warehouse areas meet sanitation standards and customer/company requirements
  • Actively participate in Sky Café's Safety Management System (SMS), including hazard and incident reporting
  • Complete inventory counts in accordance with airline requirements
  • Adhere to all Sky Café food safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain safety and security of the warehouse and commissary at all times
  • Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, and storage within the warehouse
  • Safely and accurately handle food and goods, including loading and unloading
  • Receive catering deliveries and perform temperature checks and quality inspections
  • Maintain consistent communication with catering personnel and airline communication centers as applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and elevated noise levels
  • May be required to work in refrigerated environments at 4°C (39°F) or lower for extended periods
  • Regular standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg) on a regular basis

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a clear criminal record
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required airport and security clearances
  • Ability to work within strict time constraints
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
  • Successful completion of all airline-specific and corporate training programs, including recertification
  • Ability to safely operate equipment relevant to the position, including forklifts, high-lift trucks, and catering vans
