Job description

The Director of Development partners closely with the VP and SVP of Development to identify and analyze new growth opportunities for Aimbridge. The Director of Development will execute strategies designed to generate, pursue and close business with prospects that have been identified and assigned as strategic. He or she will also help identify new partnership opportunities that are in line with Aimbridge's strategic growth initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors' degree in business, hotel management or a related field is desired.
  • Requires at least 6 years of senior-level hotel development or sales experience.
  • Prior work in business development or sales with major hotel brands, brokerage companies and/or management companies.
  • Requires an established network of owners, lenders, investors, operators and other potential partners who are in a position to support our growth and success.
  • Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of the hospitality development landscape within key North American markets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborates with members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with growth objectives for the organization.
  • Responsible for full execution of Aimbridge business development activities as assigned.
  • Identifies and assesses potential new markets, evaluates business opportunities, and develops strategies for effectively targeting potential clients. Partners on lead generation, communication and follow-up with prospects.
  • Partners on opportunity qualification through analysis of market strategies, deal requirements and financials.
  • Develops strategies for assessing customer needs and positioning the organization's services as potential solutions.
  • Protects the organization's value by keeping all information confidential.
