Job description

Overview
Lead and oversee the product portfolio management team, driving the identification, development and delivery of end-to-end solutions that align with business objectives and strategic priorities.
The Senior Manager is a people leader role, leading and overseeing portfolio management and business agility functions and leading people leaders and individual contributors. Responsible for driving the evolution of lean portfolio management, business agility, and product management practices across the organization to help realize enterprise vision and strategy.
Partners closely with business, product, process, and technology leaders to improve strategic sequencing, lending portfolio transparency, prioritization, and delivery effectiveness across complex cross-functional initiatives. Mature lean portfolio management practices by strengthening portfolio governance, strategic decision enablement including trade-offs, and executive transparency.
Facilitate the transformation to agile delivery models, product management evolution to integrate business capabilities.
Serves as a strategic partner, fostering collaboration, organizational alignment, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Act as a key liaison between business units and technology teams, ensuring alignment of product strategy and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
  • Advance lean portfolio management practices that improve strategic sequencing, prioritization
    transparency, and executive decision readiness
  • Lead and mature the business agility / agile coaching practice across cross-functional teams
  • Drive the evolution of product management practices from project-centric toward product and business
    capabilities
  • Partner with business, product, and technology leaders to align portfolio delivery with organizational
    outcomes and member value
  • Advance organizational portfolio governance and product management maturity through coaching,
    governance alignment, and operating model improvements
  • Lead cross-departmental, multi-functional teams to deliver on portfolio objectives and business outcomes
  • Partner with product leaders, business leaders, and senior stakeholders to execute departmental and
    enterprise strategy and drive superior results
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of roadmaps, backlogs, and performance metrics to ensure
    alignment with business goals
  • Cultivate a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team and across
    partner groups
  • Facilitate the adoption of modern agile practices and champion change management initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business units, technology teams, and
    external partners
  • Monitor industry trends, innovation e orts, and regulatory changes, communicating relevant information to
    team members and leadership
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, supporting succession planning and workforce strategy
  • Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Ensure effective communication and escalation of risks, impediments, and operational concerns
  • Lead and participate in large, multidisciplinary projects and initiatives, providing consulting expertise and
    guidance from conceptualization to implementation
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and process improvement, bringing external
    perspective and ideas from relevant sources
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, practices, and processes
  • Perform supervisory/managerial responsibilities and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Advanced hands-on experience leading lean portfolio transformation and/or business product operating
    model evolution in a large enterprise environment
  • Expert understanding of lean portfolio management, product management, business agility, and capability-based planning practices
  • Proven experience leading, developing, and coaching a team of leaders and individual contributors,
    strengthening product management and strategic capabilities
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into product strategies, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes
    aligned to enterprise priorities
  • Ability to communicate strategic direction, tradeo?s, and business impact clearly to a variety of audiences,
    including executive, to influence decision making
  • Advanced hands-on experience influencing organizational change across business and technology
    organizations
  • Experience working directly with technical teams in an agile software development environment
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior stakeholders to influence alignment, build consensus,
    and drive coordinated execution across business and technology teams
  • Advanced analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; ability to use data and metrics to drive
    decisions
  • Experience in financial planning, resource management, and operational oversight
  • Track record of managing competing priorities and driving outcomes in fast paced, ambiguous, and highly
    matrixed environments
  • Knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in product and portfolio
    management
  • Experience with change management, process improvement, and adoption of modern IT practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master's
    degree preferred)
