Aerospace Avionics and Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Albany, GA

Job Type: Full time direct

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Avionics and Electrical Project Engineer to lead and manage avionics and electrical systems development, integration, and testing for cutting-edge aerospace projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics systems, electrical engineering, and project management within the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and integrate avionics and electrical systems for aircraft.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through system requirements, design, testing, and certification phases.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Conduct system integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and certification compliance evidence.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout project lifecycle.
  • Ensure project adherence to relevant aerospace regulations and standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in avionics system design, integration, and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace electrical systems, control systems, and controls.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and certification requirements.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and manufacture wiring diagrams, shematics, and electrical harness

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of aircraft hardware and software integration.
  • Proficiency with Solidworks electrical and Autocad softwares.
  • Experience installing avionics systems and components
  • A&P certificate
