The company partners with major OEMs, including Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, and others, to deliver complex design-to-build and build-to-print assemblies for platforms such as the H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18, KC-135, E-2, Harpoon, and SLAM-ER. In this role, you will shape sourcing strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and ensure the timely, cost-effective flow of materials, supplies, capital equipment, and outside services that support complex aerospace manufacturing operations. You will work closely with cross-functional leaders to drive supplier performance, maintain production continuity, support compliance, and achieve cost, quality, delivery, and inventory objectives in a mission-focused environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead procurement strategy, execution, supplier management, cost reduction, compliance, and continuous improvement across Crestview Aerospace.
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, systems, controls, reports, and KPIs that support operational and business objectives.
  • Manage purchasing of production materials, supplies, services, and capital equipment, including requisition review, purchase order execution, and commercial negotiations.
  • Create sourcing strategies that reduce supply risk, improve supplier performance, support annual operating plan objectives, and drive cost savings.
  • Identify, qualify, develop, and manage suppliers based on capability, quality, delivery, cost, capacity, financial stability, responsiveness, and compliance.
  • Partner with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Receiving, Accounts Payable, and Finance to align procurement with schedules, forecasts, inventory goals, and production priorities.
  • Analyze MRP/ERP demand, forecasts, lead times, reorder levels, supplier constraints, and inventory parameters to ensure timely, economical purchasing.
  • Expedite orders and resolve supplier delivery, invoice, quality, documentation, contract, and performance issues to prevent production disruption.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and organize procurement personnel to ensure performance, accountability, training, and succession readiness.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, ethical expectations, customer requirements, and applicable laws and regulations; perform related duties as assigned.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal interactions with suppliers, customers, employees, and leadership.
  • Demonstrate leadership by organizing work, developing staff, building accountability, and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Apply strong ERP/MRP, purchasing, supplier management, procurement reporting, spreadsheet, Microsoft Office, and online research skills.
  • Interpret technical requirements, engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing documentation, forecasts, supplier performance, cost data, inventory parameters, contracts, and process information.
  • Use analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills to assess data, identify root causes, calculate purchasing-related measures, and develop practical solutions.
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy, urgency, sound judgment, confidentiality, and high ethical standards.
  • Apply knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, quality requirements, supplier qualification, and supply chain risk management; travel to supplier locations as needed.

Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible procurement, purchasing, materials, supply chain, operations, or manufacturing experience; aerospace or complex manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Working conditions are generally normal for an office and manufacturing environment. The role may require interaction with production areas, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
