Job description

For more than 30 years, SQA Services has provided managed supplier quality services, including inspections, audits, corrective actions, remediation, and engineering support. We deploy experienced quality professionals globally to support client and supplier sites on demand.

SQA Services is seeking Cable & Harness Inspectors (Level 2) to support a high-profile aerospace program in San Antonio, Texas.

This is a full-time, 6-month contract position supporting receiving inspections and "Power On" inspections on aircraft assemblies. The ideal candidate will have experience with wire harnesses, electrical systems, cable routing, connectors, and aerospace workmanship standards. Training will be provided by the client.

Travel assistance may be available for qualified candidates outside the local area.

  • Location: San Antonio, TX
  • Duration: 6 Months
  • Schedule: 4x10 Schedule
    • A Shift: Sunday – Wednesday (OT Thursday)
    • B Shift: Wednesday – Saturday (OT Tuesday)
  • Shift Times:
    • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM
    • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving inspections of cable and harness assemblies
  • Conduct Power On inspections on aircraft systems and assemblies
  • Verify compliance to engineering drawings, specifications, and workmanship requirements
  • Inspect wiring, connectors, routing, terminations, and electrical installations
  • Document inspection findings and support resolution of nonconformances
  • Support production and quality teams to ensure product compliance
  • Utilize client systems and procedures for inspection documentation and reporting
Required Qualifications
  • Experience inspecting cable assemblies, wire harnesses, or aircraft electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
  • Strong understanding of electrical workmanship and inspection practices
  • Ability to work in an aerospace manufacturing or aircraft modification environment
  • U.S. Citizen required
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (current or previous)
  • Aerospace, military, or aircraft maintenance inspection experience
  • Experience performing aircraft "Power On" or operational inspections
  • Experience supporting Boeing, military aircraft, or modification program
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.725 per mile driven) if local 
Relocation package available (Travel, meals, lodging, rental car, etc)
