Job description

Position: Advisor Support Specialist
Department: Annuity Operations
Reporting to: President of Advisor Support Solutions
Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite
Overview:
The Advisor Support Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional operational service to our advisor clients and their office staff to meet their specific needs. Responsibilities include managing advisor relationships, assisting in the completion of account paperwork, following up on pending paperwork, and ensuring the smooth process of the annuity business.
This is a new, elevated service offering to our advisor offices. You will be at the forefront of developing this new service and acting as an extension of our advisors’ operational teams. You will have the opportunity to make a big impact on our advisor’s business.
What you’ll do:
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned advisor offices — hold weekly meetings, manage workload, and keep cases moving
  • Prepare and enter application documents in the CRM based on advisor and staff direction
  • Validate contracting, licensing, product availability, and state-specific requirements for each carrier before submission
  • Track applications with carriers from receipt through in-good-order status, proactively following up to prevent delays
  • Handle incoming calls and emails from advisors and staff with accurate, timely updates
  • Process service requests, including death claims, custodial transfers, and exception-based transactions
  • Maintain detailed CRM notes to ensure continuity across the team
  • Identify and escalate compliance or licensing issues to the appropriate teams
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and support the training of team members
Experience you’ll bring:
  • 3+ years of annuity or financial services processing experience
  • Working knowledge of annuity products, carrier requirements, and operational systems
  • Experience with CRM platforms and proficiency in navigating carrier portals and internal tools
  • Strong communicator — confident on the phone, polished in writing, and able to build rapport quickly
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle competing priorities without dropping details
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaborate well with a team
