Job description

As an Advertising Operations Specialist, you will support the end-to-end execution of digital advertising campaigns across multiple media channels. You'll be responsible for technical quality assurance (QA), campaign asset management, ad tag validation, website ad call management, and project coordination to ensure campaigns launch accurately and on time. This role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and collaboration as the final internal checkpoint before campaigns go live.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another nonBest Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
  • Review assets to ensure all ad sizes are present and adhere to file type and file size requirements
  • Create trafficking instructions for media agencies, hand off files, validate landing page URLs and receive confirmation that campaign is live
  • Track campaign volume, prioritize workload, and provide reporting updates for assigned business areas.
  • Serve as day-to-day point of contact for Account Management and media agency teams regarding file specs, trafficking timelines, troubleshooting and status updates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external ad technology partners, including Google, Meta, Innovid, and other advertising platforms.
     
Basic qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in marketing, advertising, media, operations, data analytics, or project management.
  • Ability to execute projects on time under general direction while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management, critical-thinking, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, resilience, and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, lookups, formulas, or macros.
  • Beginner-level experience with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and OneNote.
     
Preferred qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience supporting digital marketing channels, paid media campaigns, or social media initiatives.
  • Beginner-level experience with ad serving platforms such as Google Ad Manager (GAM), Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), or Innovid.
  • Experience performing quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Beginner-level experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Copilot.
